EXTRA INFORMATION
The lodge is proudly Green, powered entirely by solar energy. With only eight chalets, the experience at Kambaku Safari Lodge is a truly intimate affair.
A cosy fireplace, small library and bar are open for all to enjoy at the main lodge. The upper deck features a pool table as well as a games corner. For a little ‘me-time’ a complimentary transfer is offered to River Sands for relaxing at the spa or use of the gym facility.
The 4 King and 2 Twin Chalets have their own deck, ideal from which to view wildlife drinking at the waterhole as the sky turns warm crimson hues.
Activities
Hot coffee awaits those who opt in on an early morning game drive. The African Big 5 and famous White Lion wait to be spotted in the wild in open safari vehicles. Expert rangers assist in tracking the sightings for you, and if you just couldn’t manage the early morning, an evening game drive is on the charts to, just after you enjoyed an afternoon high tea.
The lodge also offers guided 3 hour informative bush walks, bird watching from the Hide, and unique photographic and art safaris.
The kids also have an array of exciting activities to choose from. They get the opportunity to be a Junior Ranger for a day, learning about the wild and how to track animals. Frogging, birding and jewellery making all form part of the fun, and at departure your Junior Ranger will receive a certificate to acknowledge their achievements.
