At the heart of the camp, expansive living areas beckon. An interactive kitchen, open-air decks, a welcoming boma, and a shimmering pool overlooking the gardens create warm, communal spaces to gather, unwind and share stories of the day. Guests are encouraged to slow down and savour nature—whether picnicking under the fever trees, watching wildlife drift to and from the waterhole, or indulging in a soothing massage in the tranquil treatment rooms or on their private decks.
With its front-row view onto the Greater Kruger wilderness, Camp George offers an immersive safari experience like no other.
Set out on two daily game drives, venture on foot during a bush walk, or feel the mystery of the night come alive on an evening drive through the exclusive Klaserie Private Nature Reserve—home to an extraordinary array of wildlife, from leopard, rhino and lion to wild dog, buffalo, hippo and even the elusive Sharpe’s Grysbok.

EXTRA INFORMATION
Simbavati Camp George is an uncomplicated and down to earth safari experience and guests are encouraged to relax and feel at home.
The lounge area is the perfect place to relax on a comfortable couch with a book or doze off on an afternoon siesta.
During the mid-day heat, recline in a sun lounger, take a dip in our swimming pool or treat yourself at our spa.
Children are catered for with an activity plan to increase their wildlife knowledge and there is a large selection of interesting books which are at their disposal.
The lodge also has a Spa where you can indulge in local wellness treatments and a fitness centre where you can burn a few calories and keep active.
Activities
Big 5 game drives take place in the early morning and late afternoon/evening, ensuring game sightings at times when the animals are naturally most active. Nocturnal animals, including the big cats, are regular sightings at night. Currently over 40 mammal species are to be found in the Greater Kruger, including the Big 5 of Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant. The area is also a bird-watcher’s paradise, as many as 360 species of bird life have been documented here.
